We are excited to announce the DFW Area Beekeepers Conference will host Dr. Leo Sharashkin, Kevin Inglin, Dr. Ferhat Ozturk and about 20 other Texas speakers!

The DFW ABC sponsoring North Texas Beekeeper Associations have worked diligently since 2025 to bring together speakers from around Texas who will provide programming to engage those new to beekeeping so they can learn the basics of sustaining healthy honey bee colonies.

The ABC's of Beekeeping

The goal of the DFW ABC is to connect together the general public of bee enthusiasts, beekeepers of all experience levels, and educators with a focus on the ABC's of keeping bees.. beekeeping starting with the basics.

We will have short and interactive discussions, activities and demonstrations throughout the day in addition to three classrooms of beekeeping presentations. There will also be outdoor activities and bee hive inspections.

If you want to understand the lifestyle practices of beekeeping from the ground up we will offer basic and advanced presentations, discussions hands-on activities, tool+product demonstrations, in-hive inspections, outside walks, games and more...

We will be lighting smokers, testing for pests, illustrating how to move bees both from your yard and across the country, talking about the medicinal properties of honey, how to raise great queens in Texas, where bees and taxes meet..
